Impressions from a conducted regional seminar between countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia

On September 17, 2019, the seminar, dedicated to the results of a regional seminar on calculating consumer price indices in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia which was held in Minsk city (Republic of Belarus), took place in the State committee on statistics.
Muzaffar Jomolov, head of Division of Consumer Price Statistics and Consumer Price Index of the State committee on statistics, made a report at the event. He spoke about his participation in a regional seminar that took place in Minsk on September 11-13, 2019; problems faced by countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia in calculating the consumer price index; getting to know the international methodology and also the practice of price indices; also spoke about the presentations of experts who participated in the compilation of certain specific weights and separately noted that a series of questions was discussed on practice of forming price information through multimedia means.
In addition to this, in the course of a seminar M. Jomolov spoke about the opinions of international experts in the field of calculating the consumer price index, the latest achievements and news in the practice of the participating countries. Along with the fact that the experts exchanged views at a seminar held in Minsk, it was noted that discussions were held on the progress achieved in the field of statistics and on the works which must be carried out in the future.
At the end of the seminar, the detailed answers were given for questions asked on the theme.
