Prospects for development of international arbitration in Uzbekistan

International conference “The state and prospects for development of arbitration in Uzbekistan” was held in Tashkent.
The event was organized jointly with the United Nations Development Programme, USAID under the auspices of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism.
The conference was attended by members of parliament, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, specialists, legal scholars, local and foreign experts, and representatives of the media.
At the event, practical suggestions were made to improve the legislative framework of Uzbekistan arbitration.
Following the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Tashkent International Arbitration Centre and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.
