Abdulaziz Kamilov meets with UAE Ambassador

On September 13, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed Hareb Bradha Almehairbi, completing his diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, at the meeting, the state and prospects for development of bilateral relations, as well as interaction within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international and regional structures were discussed.
It was emphasized that the main results of the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE on March 24-26 of the current year became the established high level of trust and mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and the UAE, the intensification of trade-economic, investment relations and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.
The parties exchanged views on proposals on the timing and agenda of upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.
Following the meeting, the Minister congratulated Mohammed Hareb Bradha Almehairbi on the successful completion of his fifteen-year activity, first as the Consul General and then the first UAE Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and expressed appreciation for his personal contribution to the development and strengthening of interaction between the two countries.
The Ambassador, in turn, thanked the Uzbek side for assisting in his activities as the Head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Tashkent.
