Uzeltechsanoat, Samsung Electronics, Tashkent Technopark sign Partnership Agreement

A partnership agreement was signed between Uzeltechsanoat, Samsung Electronics of South Korea and Tashkent Technopark.
The first steps towards this partnership were taken in 2011. Artel company with direct assistance and under the brand name of Samsung Electronics mastered the production of vacuum cleaners, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, monitors for computers.
“A new stage of our cooperation continues. According to this agreement, Samsung refrigerators will be produced in the territory of Tashkent Technopark in accordance with a project worth 62 million USD. Repair work is being carried out on the territory of the plant. In a short time, modern equipment will be installed. According to the plan, the first products will go on sale in 2020”, says M. Yunusov, Chairman of the Board of Uzeltechsanoat Association.
At the first stage, 300 thousand units of refrigerators will be produced annually, of which 100 thousand are planned to be exported. This will help to increase the country’s export potential.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan E. Ganiyev delivered a speech at the event.
