On September 4-6, 2019, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Deputy Minister of Defense on Educational and Ideological Work, Major General Azizbek Ikramov attended the International Forum on Defense and Security Seoul Dialogue 2019, organized by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea.

At the event, a bilateral meeting was held with the Vice Minister of National Defense of the Republic Korea Pak Jae-min, where the parties discussed regional security issues, as well as the current state and prospects for further cooperation in military sphere.

The delegation also attended the second Republic of Korea – Central Asia Forum, held to discuss security issues and prospects for development of cooperation in military sphere between Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea.

On September 5, 2019, the delegation of Uzbekistan attended Seoul Dialogue 2019 Conference. The event was chaired by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea.

Meeting was also held with the leadership of Korea National Defense University. The sides discussed development issues of cooperation in military education. Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Korea National Defense University.

Following the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited Korea Military Academy. Following the talks, a document on cooperation in military education between military educational institutions of the two countries was also signed.
