These days, in all regions of the Republic, various measures are being taken to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On approval of the Concept of conducting a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022”.

In particular, at a seminar held in the khokimiyat of the Namangan region, participants exchanged views on preparations for the census. Speakers noted the importance of obtaining accurate and complete population data by taking into account indicators such as age, gender, nationality, educational level, marital status, employment, and other characteristics.

One of the such event, held in the khokimiyat of the Shovot district of the Khorezm region, the heads of ministries and departments, local executive authorities, and members of the relevant commissions explained the importance of timely, full and high-quality fulfillment of the tasks stipulated by the Presidential Decree. Zakir Babadzhanov, head of the regional Department of Demography and Labor Statistics, spoke in detail about the events implemented in accordance with the Presidential Decree and the challenges ahead.

The seminar in the Payarik district was devoted to the participation in the organization and conduct of the census of the population, individuals and legal entities, as well as to a specific mechanism for remunerating them.

The event, which was held in the Kamashi area, also highlighted preparations for the census in the regions. Participants dwelt in detail on specific measures to prepare for the census and the issue of continuing education and training of responsible persons.

The first deputy hokim of the city, heads of local statistics agencies, enterprises and organizations, representatives of land and cadastral services and local governments took part in the seminar, which was held in the city of Shirin, Syrdarya Region. During the meeting, an exchange of views on the coordination of joint census activities between state organizations, business entities, responsible persons and local authorities took place.

The purpose of the event, organized in the Rishtan district of the Ferghana region, was to inform the general public about the goals and objectives stipulated by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Approving the Concept of conducting a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022”. The participants exchanged views on the stages of preparation for the census, monitoring, registration of materials and publication of the final results of the census.
