On August 20, 2019, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development hosted a workshop on specifics and upcoming activities on negotiation process of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The workshop was attended by international consultations, including Advisor of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade on WTO Jovan Jekic.

In connection with the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, large-scale analytical and organizational activities are being carried out, as well as a roadmap has been approved. In addition, the State Committee for Tourism Development is involved in this process and it is expected that after Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, certain commitments can be made in regulation of services and tourism.

The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, where a wide range of issues and procedures for Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO were discussed.
