Statistics are becoming more accessible

National Press Center of Uzbekistan and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics held a press conference on improving the statistical capacity of the country and ensuring the openness and transparency of national statistics.
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee B.Mirusmanov, in recent years, Uzbekistan radically reformed the sphere of statistics. International standards and best international practices are widely introduced, the legal framework governing the collection and processing of static data are being improved. More than 10 government regulations and about 30 departmental documents were adopted for this purpose. All of them are aimed at ensuring the openness and transparency of the sphere to the public, people, foreign and international organizations.
Following the event, experts of the State Committee the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics answered questions of journalists.
