On July 15, 2019, a technical assistance mission of the World Bank Group headed by Mustafa Dinch, a senior economist/statistician in the World Bank Department, began its work in the State Statistics Committee.

The main objective of the mission is to assist in the development of the National Statistics Development Strategy.In accordance with the Program, the Mission will work with responsible specialists of the State Committee on Statistics from July 15 to 25, 2019.

Within the framework of this mission, on July 25, 2019, a quality management seminar was held for senior management of the Central Office and heads and representatives of the territorial departments of the State Committee on Statistics.

The presentation highlighted the guidelines of the National Statistics Development Strategy and gave practical recommendations based on international practice of the United Nations.

 A preliminary report on the mission’s work was presented and a question and answer blitz was held on the most key issues of statistical practice and components of the National Statistics Development Strategy.
