From 18 to 27 June in five cities of Uzbekistan will host a Grand musical project – "Open Air. Symphony of the desert", which includes live concerts of Symphony orchestras of Uzbekistan.

The project will start in Nukus on the Central square of Karakalpakstan in front of the State Museum of arts named after I. V. Savitsky. Next, the musical caravan will continue its journey with concerts at the historical and picturesque sites of Khiva, Termez, Karshi and Shakhrisabz.

The concerts will be held in the following locations:

• June 18 – the city of Nukus, the area in front of the State Museum of art named after I. V. Savitsky;
• June 20 — the city of Khiva, the square in front of the ensemble "Ichan Kala»;
• June 23 – Termez city, Amphitheater of the Palace of Arts of Surkhandarya region;
• June 25 – the city of Karshi, the City amphitheatre;
• June 27 – the city of Shahrisabz, the area in front of the Ak Saray Palace.

Improvised concert halls will be built at all venues, designed for seats ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 seats, as well as a stage with light and music equipment and visual screens in accordance with the theme of the cities.

The project is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourism development, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of Khorezm, Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions, the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan.
