Tashkent launches the activity of Training and Simulation Center

Addressing the event organized on this occasion, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Elmira Basitkhanova, Rector of Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education Khabibulla Akilov and others noted that activities carried out in Uzbekistan in the healthcare system yields its practical results.
The center, created by Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education in cooperation with GE Healthcare, is important in helping to train qualified medical personnel and developing a system of continuous effective education in the country. Organization of its activities is a logical continuation of good deeds carried out under the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On comprehensive measures to fundamentally improve the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of December 7, 2018.
According to statistics, in recent years, the number of polyclinics in Uzbekistan has increased by 2 times, and the number of medical institutions – by 12 percent. This process is associated with increased requirements for accelerated integration of medical practice with educational and scientific activities. The new Training and Simulation Center is essential for the application of medical advances in the process of treatment and diagnosis.
At the center, domestic and foreign specialists will train students in obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology and general visualization. Modern ultrasound machine Voluson P6 from GE Healthcare, an interactive anatomical atlas and a fetal ultrasound phantom are installed here, thanks to which, physicians will be able to conduct research using high-tech devices together with obtaining theoretical knowledge.
