An international workshop on “Uzbekistan and South Korea: cooperation prospects”, held on April 16 at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was devoted to discussion of issues of comprehensive development of strategic partnership.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Korea Institute for International Economic Policy on the eve of the visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan. It was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, research institutions of Uzbekistan, leading experts and representatives of partner country companies.
Director of the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Eldor Aripov, President of Korea Institute for International Economic Policy Jae-Young Lee and others delivered a speech at the event.
Priority directions of foreign, trade-economic policy of Uzbekistan and Korea, tasks on using existing opportunities were discussed at the workshop. Guests noted that the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan are giving expected results in all spheres of socio-economic life of the country.
At the event, views were exchanged on goals and objectives of strategic development, results of economic reforms, cultural-humanitarian dialogue, introduction of digital technologies in the industry. The current state and prospects of development in these areas were analyzed.
Following the event, recommendations on priority areas of bilateral cooperation were developed.
