Munich hosts Compatriots Forum

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the World Youth Association of Uzbekistan organized Compatriots Forum in Munich, which was attended by more than 300 compatriots from different regions of Germany, representatives of Munich travel companies.
The event is aimed at establishing practical dialogue with compatriots living in Germany, development and expansion of cooperation for further development of Uzbekistan, as well as active promotion of the country's tourism potential.
A presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, Uzbek national dishes was also held.
It should be noted that the forum participants forwarded their ideas and initiatives for further enhancing compatriots’ role in the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan and promotion of the country's tourism potential.
In particular, the proposal on creating Uzbekistan People Society in Germany was discussed in detail. The structure of such societies abroad plays an important role in providing local population with information about Uzbekistan and attracting tourists.
During the visit, a meeting with representatives of medical tourism companies was held in Munich. An agreement was reached on bilateral cooperation, development and implementation of joint programs for development of medical tourism in Uzbekistan.
