Afghanistan delegation visits Surkhandarya region

Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan led by Balkh province’s Deputy Governor Shujauddin Shuja visited Surkhandarya region.

The delegation and the heads of the consular offices of India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan located in Mazari Sharif took part in festivities on Navruz.
 
At the meeting with the khokim of Surkhandarya region Bakhodir Pulatov, the head of Afghanistan delegation Shujauddin Shuja expressed sincere gratitude to the Uzbek side for inviting them to participate in the festivities and conveyed greetings and congratulations from the Governor of Balkh province Ishaq Rahguzar.
 
It was emphasized that the established tradition of participation of Balkh province’s and Surkhandarya region’s representatives in Navruz celebrations in Mazari Sharif and Termez contributes to strengthening good neighborly relations between the two countries and people that have a common history, culture, religion and traditions.
 
The head of Afghanistan delegation noted that the leadership of Balkh province, as well as the entire Afghanistan people, admire the ongoing dynamic changes in Uzbekistan. The scale of construction in Surkhandarya region of new residential neighborhoods, buildings of government institutions and social facilities once again testifies to the constant attention and care of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on development of all regions of the country.
 
According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Mazari Sharif, prospects for development of interaction between the border regions of the two countries were also discussed at the meeting in Termez.
