Meeting with Iran MFA representatives

On March 13, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov and the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held negotiations with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, current issues of bilateral relations, as well as promising areas of cooperation in the region were discussed.
The parties reviewed proposals on the schedule for holding in 2019 a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, inter-MFA political consultations.
Views were also exchanged on construction of the Trans-Afghan railway line on the route Mazar-i-Sharif – Herat.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Bahman Agharazi Dormani.
