On March 13, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia Sunaryo Kartadinata, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The Ambassador presented the copies of credentials to the Minister.
At the meeting, it was noted that over the past two years, Uzbekistan – Indonesia dialogue has entered a new stage, which was initiated by the heads of the two states in May 2017, in Beijing.
In 2018, the trade turnover increased by 1.8 times, leading economic structures of Indonesia began implementing large joint chemical projects in Uzbekistan, participating in creation of cotton cultivation and processing clusters in Kashkadarya and Syrdarya regions, reconstruction of a hotel in Samarkand region. Visas for citizens of one country when visiting another country for a period of up to 30 days have been also canceled on a mutual basis.
Other issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed at the meeting.
