Kyrgyzstan delegation visits Namangan

The delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Ibrahim Junusov visited Namangan region.
At the meeting held in the regional khokimiyat, it was noted that thanks to rational policy pursued by the heads of the two countries, friendly relations between the two countries are strengthening, including in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian areas.
Namangan region’s khokim Kh.Bozorov noted that meeting plays an important role in implementation of tasks for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
In 2018, the trade turnover between Namangan region and the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to 12.1 million USD. Currently, two enterprises are operating in the region with participation of investments of Kyrgyzstan.
At the meeting, guests were informed about export potential of the region, opportunities in medical and ziyorat (pilgrimage) tourism.
Negotiations were held on the issues of restoration of Uchkurgon Avtomobil Yullari and Kosonsoy Avtomobil Yullari checkpoints on Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan state borders, development of cultural-humanitarian ties.
The guests visited sights and modern production enterprises of Namangan.
