According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, on March 4, a meeting was held with leadership and teaching staff of the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM).
USIM was founded in 1998 and conducts training in 32 areas. About 15 thousand students study at the University.
At the meeting, development prospects of relations between USIM and educational institutions of Uzbekistan were discussed and fruitfulness of such cooperation was emphasized. Over the past six months, partnership agreements were signed on cooperation between USIM and Urgench State University and Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Construction in the sphere of conducting joint research, as well as training and advanced training of specialists and exchange of students. Malaysian University also established cooperation with National University of Uzbekistan and Bukhara State University.
As a result, a series of lectures on Islamic law and banking, tourism, management, ICT and other areas were organized in January 2019 by leading professors of Islamic Scientific University at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and Urgench State University.
In order to further deepen cooperation between universities and continuation of practice in visiting professors format, an agreement was reached on sending a Dean of the faculty of Engineering and Construction of the University in Uzbekistan for organization of a course of lectures on sustainable architecture at Tashkent Architectural Construction Institute from 27 March to 11 April 2019.
