According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia, on February 24-26, Uzbekistan delegation – representatives of the Ministries of Economy and Industry, Investments and Foreign Trade, Health, Transport, Uzbekistan Railways and Uzavtosanoat joint stock companies visited Moscow, Russia.
The main purpose of the visit became discussion of the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbekistan – Russia cooperation in trade, investment, transport, industrial cooperation and healthcare.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the parties considered the implementation of projects included in the Program of Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2024. The issue of attracting assistance from Russian partners in the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO was also discussed at the negotiations.
The dialogue with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation was devoted to possibilities of increasing industrial cooperation between the economic entities of the two countries.
The meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy was devoted to discussion of the issue on coordination of efforts in personnel training for various sectors of the economy, including trade and industry.
