On February 26, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov, who arrived in Astana to attend inter-MFA political consultations, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the sides discussed current issues of bilateral relations. Practical aspects of participation of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the Second Consultative meeting of the Heads of Central Asian countries, which is scheduled for April 2019 in Tashkent were discussed
Views were exchanged on the draft program of holding the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, which should become a continuation of the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, which ended in 2018.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan noted the high level of bilateral relations, which due to political will of the leaders of the two countries are steadily growing. The Minister noted that there are significant resources between the two countries for increasing multifaceted cooperation in all spheres.
At the meeting, the sides considered other issues of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan cooperation.
