Forum participants visited Samarkand

On February 23, participants of the First International Forum on Ziyorat (Pilgrimage) Tourism, which was held in Bukhara, visited Samarkand. 

Forum participants visited Shakhi Zinda complex in Samarkand. They were informed about unique architectural monuments built by our ancestors, activities on preservation and improvement of mausoleums.
 
Acquaintance with the world-famous Registan complex also made a great impression on guests. In particular, measures taken in Uzbekistan on preserving Mirzo Ulugbek, Tillakori and Sherdor madrasahs with centuries-old history, as well as, construction and landscaping activities attracted attention of foreign scientists and specialists.
 
Participants of the forum visited Imam Bukhari complex in Payarik district.
 
They visited Imam Bukhari International Research Center and Hadith Science School, which was established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, became familiar with activities of these institutions, conditions created for scientific staff and students.
 
The guests were informed in detail about organization of the center, its tasks and goals, activities carried out on studying and widely promoting heritage of our great scientists. The museum of the center and ancient manuscripts of Imam Bukhari's book “Sahihi Bukhari”, copies of unique works of great muhaddith, which are currently stored in different countries of the world and other exhibits aroused great interest among them.
 
In Samarkand, guests visited a number of historical-cultural monuments, sacred shrines in the region.
