Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saidkomol Khojayev visited Poland. The delegation included representatives of JSC Halq Banki and farms.
Following the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Shimon Gizinski, plans were defined on increasing bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial sector. So, the parties agreed to create a joint working group in agriculture and hold its first meeting this year. In addition, an agreement was reached on holding Uzbekistan Days at Bronisze logistics center. It is expected that holding the event of this format will allow presenting the export potential of Uzbekistan agricultural products at one of the largest trading platforms in Poland. The Polish side expressed readiness to provide a platform on the territory of the center for the sale of melons, cherries and pomegranates from Uzbekistan.
As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, during the visit, the delegation also held a number of meetings with the leadership of agro-industrial companies. Milex (drip irrigation), Igloszron (construction of poultry meat production), Arno (intensive gardening) companies informed about plans for implementing projects in Uzbekistan in the near future. Plans have been defined on creating a cluster for production of seed potatoes in the south of Uzbekistan using the in-vitro method with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland.
