As previously reported, a ministerial meeting of the WHO Regional Office for Europe was held in Istanbul on February 12–14, dedicated to protecting people from health emergencies together.

Uzbekistan delegation led by the Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov took an active part in its work.

At the meeting, Alisher Shadmanov met with ministers of health of Georgia, Armenia and Turkmenistan. Current issues of further development of mutual cooperation were discussed. Alisher Shadmanov also met with the Minister of Health of Turkey Fahrettin Koca. The parties signed a roadmap aimed at further expanding mutual cooperation.

As reported by the Information Service of the Ministry of Health, an agreement was reached on holding Uzbekistan – Turkey Medical Forum in Tashkent.

Such important issues as creation of modern medical clinics not only in the capital, but also in the regions of Uzbekistan, joint organization of advanced training of specialists, establishment of vaccine production in Uzbekistan were also discussed.
