The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has developed Open Justice draft program. It is currently posted on the ministry’s website and submitted for public discussion.
It is envisaged to provide the general public with the most important information about the activities of the ministry through this program. To this end, an action plan is developed for implementing the project.
The plan consists of four areas and determines activities, their timing, responsible persons, as well as the expected results.
These areas include the study of public opinion, work with appeals of legal entities and individuals, rulemaking, as well as informing the general public about the nature and significance of reforms carried out in the country, recruitment and placement of staff in the ministry’s system, creating a reserve of personnel, ensuring transparency in organizing execution of tasks and functions assigned to the ministry.
In order to study public opinion and work with appeals of legal entities and individuals, it is planned to organize open doors at least twice a year at the central office of the Ministry of Justice, the Agency (centers) of public services, in justice bodies and institutions.
Measures on introducing into practice commenting on behalf of the Ministry of proposals submitted to citizens on draft normative-legal acts posted for general discussion on the website regulations.gov.uz will be implemented. This will help to increase citizens’ legal culture and consciousness.
