Namangan hosted a workshop on introduction of the Global GAP, Halal and Organic standards in the export of fruits, vegetables and agricultural products.
The event, organized by Uzstandard agency together with the Inspectorate for control of agro-industrial complex and ensuring food security under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms and Owners of Household Lands, was attended by entrepreneurs engaged in exporting agricultural products, representatives of industrial enterprises and farms.
It was noted that systemic reforms implemented in the country on development of agriculture, in particular, on introduction of modern innovative technologies in the industry, contribute to harvesting high yields, saving water, and reducing other costs. The resolution of the Head of the state “On additional measures for improving the efficiency of fruits and vegetables promotion to foreign markets” of October 17, 2018 serves to continue activities in this direction at a new level.
Reports were heard on solving problems in implementation of quality standards, the activities of foreign companies supplying seeds of vegetables and melons, and their authorized enterprises in Uzbekistan.
