On January 16, 2019, the official ceremony of presenting credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jakhongir Ganiyev to the King Felipe VI of Spain took place in Madrid city, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

At the meeting, current aspects of Uzbekistan – Spain relations were discussed.

The King of Spain praised the level of mutual trust, similarity and proximity of positions on key issues of bilateral and international agenda.

King Felipe VI of Spain highlighted his meeting with the President of Uzbekistan within the framework of international exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana city, during which further ways of expanding and deepening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries were identified.

In conclusion, the King of Spain expressed his respect for President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and conveyed his best wishes to him.
