Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited family polyclinic in Kungirad district

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, special attention is paid to protection of public health, new medical facilities are being built and existing ones are being reconstructed.

An important role in this is played by the investment program designed for 2017-2018, aimed at further improving the quality of medical services for the population of the Aral Sea region. In particular, on the basis of this program, construction and repair work for more than 84 billion UZS was carried out at 36 sites, they are equipped with modern equipment worth 2.8 million USD. Qualification of 2,365 doctors in Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and 53 abroad. 72 modern vehicles are delivered.

A reconstruction was carried out in the family polyclinic No. 23 in the citizens’ gathering “Kungirad” this year, modern medical equipment was installed, including an ultrasound examination, an ECG, a biochemical analyzer.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with conditions created in this family polyclinic.

The institution serves residents of citizens’ gatherings of villages “Kungirad”, “Shumanay”, “Kangli”.

The polyclinic has a five-bed hospital and an emergency medical care station, a women’s counseling room, a social pharmacy, and a phytobar.

The President was presented a mobile ophthalmologic clinic based on Isuzu bus. There is an opportunity to conduct in-depth examination and treatment of patients with eye diseases.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that activity on strengthening the system of public health protection will be consistently continued, in particular, all conditions will be created for medical care for women and children.
