The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with partner organizations, held an international workshop on state support for persons with special needs, in Tashkent.
It was attended by specialists and experts of the sphere, representatives of public and international organizations, foreign countries.
Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan E.Basitkhanova, UNICEF Representative for Uzbekistan S.Graumann and others noted that such workshops are important for joint solution of current issues regarding persons with disabilities.
At the three-day workshop, issues such as labor and employment of people with special needs, their social protection and services, support for their political and social activities will be discussed.
