Representatives of the World Bank and Korea’s KT Corporation offered cooperation in the field of improving the transport system.

At the meeting with experts on transport issues of the World Bank, issues of development of receiving a grant for conducting pre-project survey of the transport network and a joint study of innovative methods for obtaining and processing information about passenger mobility were discussed.

In turn, KT Corporation proposes to introduce in Tashkent an automated system of payment in public transport, which will allow passengers not to use cash when traveling by bus, metro and taxi.

KT Corporation’s representatives noted that the company has implemented this system in almost all cities of South Korea.

As reported by the Press Service of Tashkent city khokimiyat, within the framework of the project, they are ready to provide Tashkent with cards, points of sale, create multifunctional card replenishment points, as well as information processing centers.
