Termez hosted “Friendship” Central Asian youth forum. The event brought together talented and active youth of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The forum participants visited the Center for Educating and Training Afghan Citizens under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, became familiar with conditions created here. The youth also took part at the scientific-practical conference organized in Termez State University with presentations in the areas of architecture, ecology, science.

Within the framework of the forum, an excursion was organized to general education schools and preschool education institutions, to modern industrial enterprises, as well as to “Termiz marvaridi” sanatorium, meetings with bakhshi and poets were held. Sports competitions in the international youth camp and other cultural-enlightenment events made a great impression on participants. The guests took part in preparation of Surkhandarya region’s national dish – tandyr-kebab.

An exhibition of folk arts and crafts of national cultural centers of the region was organized. The youth of neighboring countries visited historical monuments of the region.
