A press-conference on “Homestead land is a source of abundance” was held at the National Press Center by the Council of farmers, dehkan farms and owners of household lands of Uzbekistan.
Executive Director of the Fund for Supporting farmers, dehkan farms and owners of household lands under the Council of farmers, dehkan farms and owners of household lands of Uzbekistan Tulkin Sattorov and others noted that in Uzbekistan special attention is paid to stimulation of dehkans’ labor, providing them with economic assistance, full support of their activities.
It was noted that large-scale work is being implemented in Uzbekistan on creating optimal business environment for farmers and landowners, expanding cultivation of agricultural products.
The Decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures of radically improving the system of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of farmers, dehkan farms and owners of household lands, effective use of cultivated areas of agriculture” of October 9, 2017 is an important guide to action in rising the work in this area to a new level.
The main activity of the fund established on the basis of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan is aimed at establishing a system for provision of integrated services to owners of plots, related to cultivation techniques and veterinary, development of household lands by formation of homestead farming, a 2-fold increase in revenues.
Currently, 161 enterprises “Household service” have been organized in agricultural areas of Uzbekistan. Currently, the Fund has attracted 200 billion sums. Cooperation has been established with a number of commercial banks of Uzbekistan, as a result, dehkan farms and owners of household lands have an opportunity to get a loan with a low interest rate for development of their farms.
