Meeting with representatives of Merritz

A meeting with representatives of Merritz international law company was held at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry, the meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Justice N.Jurayev and partner of Merritz D.Baizakova, who is one of the founders of Merritz law company, which has offices in London, Dubai and in Tashkent. This company specializes in legal support of international business activities of companies and resolution of international commercial disputes.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the Merritz company in Uzbekistan were discussed, in particular, in development of the institute of international arbitration, personnel training in resolving international commercial disputes, attracting foreign investors and experts to Uzbekistan.
It should be emphasized that attracting international law firms and international experts, as well as improving the mechanisms for resolving international commercial disputes is an important aspect in development of the country’s investment climate and attracting foreign investment.
