The status of “Uzstandard” Agency in international relations and prospects for cooperation
The Standardization, Metrology and Certification Agency of Uzbekistan hosted a press-conference on “The status of “Uzstandard” Agency in international relations and prospects for cooperation” at the National Press Center of Uzbekistan.
Deputy Director General of the Agency Jasur Shukurov and others provided information on the state and prospects of international cooperation.
“Uzstandard” Agency signed 47 documents with 33 countries on bilateral and multilateral cooperation. 12 of these agreements, covering the areas of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment, are intergovernmental, 35 – interdepartmental agreements.
In the field of standardization “Uzstandard” Agency is closely cooperating with International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), “Rosstandard” Agency of Russia, Department of Standards of Malaysia, Korean Agency for Technology and Standards, “Spring” Organization of Singapore.
In the field of metrology, the Agency is closely cooperating with International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), Regional Metrology Organization, International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), in the field of Halal standard – Standards and Metrology Institute for the Islamic Countries (SMIIC) and Turkish Standards Institute.
