The republican scientific-practical conference on this theme was held in Andijan. 

Issues of effective use of new technologies in the sphere of preventive medicine, improvement of techniques used in prevention of chronic infectious diseases and cardiovascular system diseases, studying and resolving contributing factors were discussed at the event, organized by the ministries of Health, Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Andijan State Medical Institute. 

At the conference it was noted that special attention in Uzbekistan is paid to protection of public health, improving quality and efficiency of medical services, strengthening material-technical base of medical institutions, improving level of knowledge, talent and experience of employees, effective use of scientific achievements in detection and diagnosis of diseases, new technologies in preventive medicine. 

An exhibition of medicines, equipment and medical products produced by domestic and foreign companies was held within the framework of the conference. 

Reports on various themes were heard at Andijan State Medical Institute. The sides exchanged views on promotion of best practices, bringing scientific researches to a new level, improving level of knowledge, specialists’ skills and experiences, expanding cooperation with foreign colleagues, using advanced and new technologies of treatment. Within the framework of the conference, scientists from Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan delivered their reports, held master classes. 

It is planned to conduct about 20 surgical operations in clinic of Andijan State Medical Institute by Russian and German specialists.
