On April 19, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Philippines with the residence in Tehran, Wilfredo C.Santos.

After a brief ceremony of presenting credentials, Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to Uzbekistan and wished success on a high and responsible post.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on priority areas for further strengthening the Uzbekistan–Philippines dialogue in various spheres.

The sides noted their interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation and relations within the UN and other organizations.

In particular, the main attention was paid to issues of deepening cooperation in trade and economic and investment spheres, including practical aspects of implementing bilateral agreements in various fields.
