As it is known, 2018 is declared in Kazakhstan as the Year of Uzbekistan, which clearly demonstrates the respect of people of Kazakhstan to the country and people of Uzbekistan.
A solemn ceremony on this occasion was held in Astana Opera Theater. It was attended by the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, members of delegations of Central Asian countries, representatives of diplomatic corps, honorable foreign guests.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev delivered speeches at the ceremony. They noted that this major event plays an important role in further strengthening cultural ties and friendship between people.
