The III Festival of short films of young cinematographers “RROlogue” has started at the Palace of Youth Creativity, in Tashkent.

The opening ceremony of the festival, organized by the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan, “Uzbekkino” National Agency, Council of Young Cinematographers, and the Center for the Development of Cinematography, was attended by art historians, filmmakers, and film fans. 

At the meeting with the creative intelligentsia that was held on August 3 this year, the Head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the responsibility of filmmakers in creating films of high artistic and ideological level. This process is associated with increasing the skill of young filmmakers, screenwriters, actors. 

The “PROlogue” festival promotes the support of young cinematographers, familiarizing the public with their creativity. The short films submitted for the project will be evaluated in nominations “The best short film”, “The best scenario”, “The best film director’s work”, “The best camerawork”, “The best actor”, “The best actress”. 

Within the framework of the festival, it is planned to hold a scientific and practical conference on “Youth and cinematography”, a round table “On the eve of the international film festival”, master classes for youth, creative meetings, presentations of creative projects of young film workers. 

The State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the issues of youth policy, chairman of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan K.Kuronboyev delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the festival.
