President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
The Grand National Assembly, established on April 23, 1920, is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of Turkey.
According to the results of elections that were held in 2015, 4 parties have their factions in the parliament. The Speaker of the parliament is the representative of the Justice and Development Party Ismail Kahraman.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kahraman.
During high-level negotiations that were held on October 25, the importance of supporting interparliamentary cooperation through the exchange of visits and conduction of joint events was noted. In the course of the conversation, attention was paid to issues of strengthening cooperation in this direction.
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey.
The President of our country got acquainted with the activities of the Grand National Assembly.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid tribute to the memory of those who died during the coup attempt in Turkey in 2016.
Then the President of our country departed for Istanbul.
