A solemn meeting of the group of soldiers of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, who took the second place in the international military patrolling exercise “Cambrian Patrol”, conducted in the UK, was held at “Tashkent” international airport named after Islam Karimov.

“Cambrian patrol” annual event is being held in Wales for forty years. 139 teams from 29 countries of the world took part in the event this year. 

Within two-day, participants marched 65 kilometers, carrying full personal kit and equipment weighting in at least 25 kilograms rises to a height of over 1000 meters and descents to 750 meters. Their physical endurance, field training, cohesion was seriously tested. 

Patrols were required to undertake a number of tasks on their route, each testing a different aspect of soldering such as navigation, first aid and casualty evacuation, CBRN, recognition of aircraft, vehicles and equipment and a tactical river crossing. 

Despite the fact that the army soldiers of Uzbekistan participated in such competitions for the first time, they took the honorable second place together with the team of Italy. The first and third places went to the hosts of this competition. 

Celebration of success of military intelligence officers of our country was held at the State Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The command of the military department encouraged the success of the military personnel – by the order of the Minister of Defense, a group of participants of the competition in the United Kingdom was awarded with “Namunali khizmatlari uchun” (“For exemplary service”) breastplates of the second degree, the next rank of “sergeant” was awarded to the junior sergeant Sardor Mamarasulov, the rank of “junior sergeant” to contract employees Abdukhamid Madaminov and Bekhzod Kholyigitov. 

It should be noted that this is not the first achievement of military personnel in the outgoing year: last summer they took the third place in “Excellent army intelligence” competition in Novosibirsk within the framework of the Third International Army Games.
