Exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the great writer

Works of the famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov won the hearts of millions of readers. The ideological and artistic intention of his articles in the genre of artistic publicism and literary criticism, novels and stories calls for the preservation of peace, love and mercy on the planet, caring attitude to the native land.

This was noted at an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Chingiz Aitmatov, which is opened at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. 

It was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and a number of public organizations, literary scholars, poets and writers, professors, teachers and students. 

It was noted that Chingiz Aitmatov is a great writer who made a great contribution to further strengthening of the bonds of friendship between the people of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Literary relations and strong ties of friendship that connected the writer with such representatives of Uzbek literature as Mirtemir, Pirimkul Kadyrov, Odil Yakubov, Abdulla Aripov, are a vivid example for today’s generation. 

Artistic publicism of the writer has been translated into Uzbek with great skill. In particular, his works such as “Jamila”, “The first teacher”, “Mother’s field”, “Goodbye, Gulsary!”, “White steamboat”, “The day lasts more than a hundred years” became the favorite works of Uzbek readers. 

Works of the writer, books dedicated to his memory, electronic copies of his articles, photographs reflecting the life and work of Ch.Aitmatov are presented at the exhibition.
