On September 25, meetings with the delegation of the Republic of Korea headed by Speaker of the National Assembly Chung Sye-kyun were held at the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

At a meeting with the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Yuldoshev, it was noted that cooperation between our countries is consistently developing in all directions, inter-parliamentary relations are strengthening. It was emphasized that the Strategy of actions on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 developed by the initiative of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev covers all spheres of the state and society reform. 

“Korea – Uzbekistan” parliamentary friendship association is operating in the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, and an inter-parliamentary group on cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea in the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary relations. 

At the meeting with the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Ismoilov, issues of further intensification of relations between the parliaments of the two countries were considered. 

Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Chung Sye-kyun expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, noted the increasingly strengthening role of Uzbekistan in the international community and shared his views on large-scale reforms that are being carried out in our country. 

Members of the delegation of South Korea visited the Mustakillik square, laid flowers at the foot of the symbol of our freedom, bright future and noble aspirations – to the monument of Independence and humanism.
