The work of our compatriot Anvar Madraimov won at the Short Film Festival held in the state of California of the United States of America.

Anvar’s short film “A Birthday Card” won the “Best Youth” film nomination among the 400 films selected for the festival. 

The film, shot in a dramatic genre, tells about the fate of a single mother, the situations in which she falls into the desire to establish a new life, raises social issues related to a family life. 

As it was reported by the information service of “Uzbekkino” National Agency, A.Madraimov is 22, he graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. He is currently studying at the Cinematography faculty of New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. 

Anvar shot a number of short feature films and documentaries. Now he is comprehending the secrets of creating full-length films. 

– Uzbek cinema has a rich history. The attention paid by the head of our state to further development of cinematography calls upon the figures of the sphere to create new works. We, the youth, will try to make a worthy contribution to the success of this sphere, – says Anvar.
