Youth football academy opened in Namangan

The “Navbahor” youth football academy has been opened under the Namangan city council of the Uzbekistan youth union.
On this occasion, a ceremony has been held in the central stadium of the small town of Toshbuloq in Namangan District. The ceremony was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, sports veterans, trainers, players of the “Navbahor” football club and young footballers.
In this country, special attention is paid to the popularization of sports, especially football, which is a game of millions. It has been said that this attention serves to bring up the younger generation to be physically healthy and morally mature and to ensure that a healthy lifestyle takes hold in society.
“All sports enthusiasts, especially football fans, are very glad that the `Navbahor’ youth football academy has been opened under our council. People in Namangan love football. The goal of setting up the academy is to make it possible for the `Navbahor’ club to train talented footballers not only for the region but also for entire Uzbekistan,” says Anvar Ikromov, the chairman of the Namangan city council of the Uzbekistan youth union.
During the ceremony, memorable gifts consisting of sports equipment were given to a number of veteran footballers, the Navbahor-women team and trainees of the “Navbahor-umid” football school and the 15th football boarding school.
The Namangan Regional hokimiyat (governorate) gave a bus to the “Navbahor” youth football academy.
A big concert programme with the participation of artistes gave festive cheer to the event.
The hokim (governor) of Namangan Region, H.Bozorov, made a speech at the event.
