On July 18, 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India, the National Coordinator of India on the SCO issues Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat, who arrived in Tashkent on a working visit.

The sides discussed the agenda of the current activities of the SCO, the issues of participation of the parties in upcoming events at various levels, which will be held in Tashkent.

M.Hazarika Bhagat told about the beginning of the activity as the National Coordinator of India on the SCO issues and expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for the support of India when deciding on the full membership of India in the organization.

Within the framework of the visit it is planned that M.Hazarika Bhagat will also visit the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization located in Tashkent and get acquainted with its activities.
