The Tashkent city council of the Uzbekistan People’s Democratic Party in cooperation with the Olmazor district council of the party held a seminar in the capital city to explain to medical workers the essence and significance of the 2017-2021 Action Strategy on five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

N.Yoldosheva, deputy chairperson of the Tashkent city council of the party, and others have said that the 2017-2021 Action Strategy on five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan was worked out by the President and that this action strategy is an important programme document for the development of the social sphere, the raising of the status of women and girls in the socio-political life of the country, the reforming of the health care sphere and the improving of the quality of education. 

In the Action Strategy, the fourth priority area includes such tasks as further developing the social sphere, raising the employment rate, providing social security for people and protecting their health, developing and modernizing road-transport and engineering-communications infrastructure, further improving the supply of electricity and gas to the country’s distant areas as well, raising the status of women and girls in the social life of the country, ensuring the usefulness of pre-school day care establishments and the further improving of general education, secondary special and higher education. 

“Special attention is given to raising the medical culture of the country’s people so that families are healthy in every respect. The Action Strategy is a significant programme document for the consistent development of the health care sphere and the upgrading of the professional qualifications of workers of this sphere. At today’s seminar, we got a better understanding of the essence and significance of the Action Strategy,” says Dilafruz Sagdiyeva, chief doctor of maternity complex No 3 in Olmazor District. 

It was noted at the seminar that large-scale measures were being carried out to take the living standards to a qualitatively new higher level and that the principle of “Human interests are paramount” was being put into practice in a consistent fashion.
