In this country, a special week entitled “Care and attention to every child” has started devoted to 1 June – International Children’s Day. An act of charity has been conducted for children at the capital city’s “Toshkent - land” park as the first event of the week.

The Soghlom Avlod Uchun (for a healthy generation) international charity foundation, the Sen Yolghiz Emassan (you are not alone) republican children’s public foundation and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan have conducted the first event of this week for children of orphanages and special boarding schools in Tashkent and Sirdaryo Regions and children of families with special needs. 

The chairwoman of the managing board of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun (for a healthy generation) international charity foundation, S.Inomova; the deputy director of the Sen Yolghiz Emassan (you are not alone) republican children’s public foundation, M.Ohunova; and others have said that under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, systemic work is being carried out to give a great deal of attention to the bringing up and education of the younger generation, the increasing of the quality and effectiveness of every phase of this education and the strengthening of the interest of children in reading books. 

In the Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests, large-scale projects are being implemented to protect mothers and children’s interests, to make sure that the work of medical institutions, family polyclinics and pre-school day care establishments conforms to the spirit of the modern era and to strengthen their material-technical base. There is no doubt that these good efforts serve to instil such feelings in boys and girls as love for the Motherland, devotion to ideas of independence and respect for national values and traditions. 

Within the special week entitled “Care and attention to every child”, various colourful and interesting events, contests, art exhibitions, theatrical shows, visits to parks of culture and recreation, sports competitions and concerts are to be conducted. 

“Every year we bring children to this beautiful place. At our educational institution, all the necessary conditions have been created for children. During their holidays, sports and art clubs will function broadly,” says Pokiza Ahmedova, the director of Guliston town’s “Children’s village”. 

Within the act of charity, all the rides and attractions in the park were free for children. Gifts were given to young children.
