2017-04-21 | Politics

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Oniks Tashkent LLC in Olmazor district.

This enterprise is only one of its kind in Central Asia, and it produces 20 tonnes of modern glassware a day. The enterprise has modern equipment made in leading countries of Europe, and 200 people work there.

The President examined samples of products made at the Oniks Tashkent LLC.

A project for the development of the production and services sector of Olmazor district in the years 2017-2018 was presented to the Head of State.

The project envisages the attraction of people of the district to entrepreneurial activity, the provision of jobs for graduates of vocational colleges and the effective use of empty and unfinished buildings.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions to effectively use empty buildings in the district and to create industrial facilities there for the production of modern goods for which there is demand.

Banks such as Ozsanoatqurilishbank, Asaka, Ipak Yoli, Ipoteka Bank, the Khalq Banki (people’s bank) and the National bank for external economic activity are allocating preferential credits for new projects being launched in Olmazor district. One of them is a project of the Art wood group LLC to produce laminated chipboard and medium-density fibreboard. These products are used in the making of furniture and domestic implements.

The Ijod-ijod private enterprise will initiate the production of ceramics. The Stanko stroitel LLC will produce metal and wood processing machines.

At the Galenika LLC, more than 60 types of import-substituting medicines, including 225 millions of tablets, capsules and sachets, will be produced a year.

The President asked about the timeframe for the launch of these projects and about jobs being created.

The projects envisage the production of building materials, wood, metal and polystyrene-concrete slabs, glass products, special work clothes, confectionery, bread and bakery products and medicines.
