Exhibits of state museum named after I.Savitsky displayed in Moscow

2017-04-05 | Politics

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin visited the Pushkin museum of fine arts in the afternoon.

Here a ceremony took place to open an exhibition of objects from Uzbekistan’s state museum named after I.Savitsky.

This state art museum named after I.Savitsky, also called a “Louvre in the desert”, is widely known to art lovers and enthusiasts for its priceless exhibits. The museum has about a hundred thousand works of art such as drawings, sculptures, archaeological finds and ethnographic items and historical documents.

In the year 2002, a “Buyuk Hizmatlari Uchun (for great services)” order was awarded to Igor Savitsky, a prominent scholar who left this great heritage to modern generations.

In this museum, visitors’ attention is also attracted to Qoraqalphoq people’s national ornaments, examples of people’s applied arts and unique national embroidery and national clothes.

The unique exhibits being displayed in the Pushkin museum of fine arts evoke a great deal of visitor interest.
