On October 7-8, Samarkand will host an International Gastronomic Festival, the program of which includes a competition of chefs, performances by artists and a tasting of various dishes.

The festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, Samarkand Regional Hokimiyat, and the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan, is aimed at popularizing the gastronomic potential of the country, promoting international cooperation in gastronomic tourism, increasing the tourist flow by popularizing national culinary traditions.

The event will include a competition of chefs. It will be attended by teams of chefs from foreign countries and regions of Uzbekistan, chefs of catering establishments serving foreign tourists. The jury members will evaluate the prepared dishes and determine the best chefs.
