The Economic Cooperation Organization, established in 1985, is an authoritative regional association. The main goal of this multilateral structure is to promote cooperation in such priority areas as trade, investment, innovation, transport, communications, energy, agriculture and industry.

The agenda of the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the organization’s member states, which will be chaired by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, includes current issues of practical cooperation in the vast region after COVID-19.
